Drew League Week 9 July 14th, 2014
Drew League Week 9 took place this weekend. The Drew League is no joke. There was a line of people all the way around the school. The fire marshalls even had to shut it down for a little, but "Basketball never stops." The crowd-drawing game was the matchup between LA Familia and Problems. LA native, The Game who plays for LA Familia, brought out 4 NBA stars including Demar Derozan, Kyle Lowry, Terrence Ross, and Metta World Peace (Ron Artest). LA Familia cme out on top with Metta World Peace leading them with 19 points and 8 boards. Brandon Jennings also continued his streak of 50+ points after finishing with 56. Drew League Week 4 June 9th, 2014
Drew League Week 4 took place this weekend. Drew League is one of the top summer pro-am basketball leagues. This weekend included many Drew League locals such as Marcus Williams, Baron Davis, Bobby Brown, The Game, Kwame Alexander and more. Some of the new players in this years Drew League include High School standout and University of Arizona commit, Stanley Johnson. Also taking the court to end the weekend was Vine sensation Lil Terrio. The Games team, La Familia included Lil Terrio in their game but he was not enough to get the team a win. Pangos All-American Camp 2014 May 31st, 2014
Pangos All-American Camp 2014 took place this weekend in Long Beach, California. The top High School basketball players from all of the United States came out to compete in Dinos Triggonis' Pangos All-American Camp. The young talent displayed their amazing athleticism along with their crazy on court shoe game. The ballers pulled out a variety of shoes from Kobe 8 ID's and School PE's to recently released Jordan retros. Check out the other shoes by clicking on the sneaker tab up top.
Ballislife 2014 All-American Game May 3rd, 2014
The Ballislife 2014 All-American Game was held this weekend at Long Beach City College. Many of ESPN's Top 100 basketball players of the 2014 class went head-to-head in this All-star format event. The event included a 3 point contest, dunk contest, and the game. Some of the top performers were Tyler Ulis (University of Kentucky), Shaqquan Aaron (University of Louisville), and local standout form Mater Dei High School, Stanley Johnson (University of Arizona).
